Mountain Hardware

Mountain Hardware Biography
I've read two negative reviews about MH products that did not meet expectations and the "negative" customer experience that followed. In defense of MH and the semi-annual sale items, MH is totally upfront with customers that items being sold at 40%-70% off retail are not warranteed. It's posted all over the factory store and they remind you at check-out. Heck I think it's even printed on the cash register receipt, all sales are final, no returns no exchanges. I also bought an item that did not perform as well as I'd hoped, a pair of gloves that also delaminated after only a couple of uses. But they cost $15! You can't have it both ways! MH is running a business. If you insist on purchasing a product at a price at or near MH's cost, don't expect MH to sink more cost into that transaction, that's not a good business model. For what Arc'Teryx charges for its gear, it should be warranteed for 100 years. Its products must be marked up close to 500%. You better be nice to people when you're pulling down Everest-sized margins like that. I own probably a half-dozen MH products, most purchased at the F + F store, and with the aforementioned pair of gloves the exception, every product has met or exceeded my expectations. I will not hesitate to purchase MH products in the future.
